Photographer's Note
This ornament is part of a stone balustrade at the Wartburg near Eisenach. This is the place where Martin Luther, the great German reformer hid after he was banned from the catholic church after publishing his theses in the 16th century.
It`s a wonderful place full of geometrical ornaments, patterns and reliefs, just waiting for us to capture all the details.

Hello Katrin,
Makes for an interesting photographic subject. The tight framing is perfect and I like very much the well rendered tones and textures in the rusty ironwork. Also, the little red flowers in the background. Very well observed and presented.

Hallo Katrin,
First, welcome to TE.
I like this photo for its great quality of image and its good sharpness. The close-up on this ornamental element allows us to see perfectly its textures and its interesting geometry.
You have worked well the exposure and the field depth, with a very nice graphical result.
A good work.
Best regards,
Josep
