Photographer's Note
The Berliner Dom is one of the most famous churches in Berlin, and for very good reasons. Its majestic architecture is simply jaw-dropping, and the visitor can spend hours exploring the art masterpieces that populate its interiors.
A large number of royals are buried here, and one of the most impressive tombs is the sarcophagus of Queen Sophia Charlotte of Hanover, wife of Frederick I.
The tomb is a magnificent piece of art, wonderfully decorated, but in this picture I preferred to capture just one detail: the grim reaper writing the names of the dead on a huge book. With the skeletal hand, the emaciated face, the visible teeth and the deep eyes, the statue conveys an impressively intense experience to the visitor.

Hi Alberto,
Well framed, good close up on the statue, pleasant warm colors with this gold aspect, perfect sharpness, interesting view, tfs.

Hi Alberto
Nice to see you post! And what a wonderfully creepy post this is. The grim reaper here is quite unique, no scythe and no cloak but still a rather disturbing face that sends a shiver down my spine. Wonderfully dark and menacing image and under great light.
Best wishes
Noel
