Did I mention that I never met so many Chinese in one day ? And so many Parisian TE's neither...

still poweful and with interest/focus on the subject chosen for the title
perhaps the face only (left hand crop) with that technique used to blow away the background
the expression is so dedicated..
a big chinese community there no doubt.

This is a beautiful shot with wonderful light... you've captured the moment very well; perfect use of DoF.

What I find so interesting is that in Paris your Chinese celebrations involved Chinese... here in Manchester, England, there seemed to far fewer Chinese than British. For example, our martial arts exhibition was done entirely by non-Chinese, and the dragon dance was largely non-Chinese too. What a shame!

Superbe ton portrait, ce regard songeur et dйterminй est du plus bel effet, l'йclairage du visage est aussi parfait mais pour la composition je me demande si l'autre moitiй de visage et cette oreille isolйe ne pourrait pas кtre coupйs afin de rendre encore plus fort l'impact de ce visage.

salut Steven, un visage de mec chinois, зa change un peu en tout sa celui lа est trиs scrutateur...Il faudrait savoir la signification des chapeaux/coiffes.. en fonction de quoi on les porte...
C'est vrai que la seconde tкte dont ne voit que l'oreille pourrait кtre recadrйe...
A part зa, c'est un excellent portrait de prиs.

C'est vrai qu'on voit un visage coupй а droite, mais l'attitude, le regard du gars en font vraiment LE sujet de ta photo. Belle intensitй, j'aime beaucoup.

Hi Steven,
There is great intensity in his eyes, a great shot for potrait composition. good DOF it really focuses my attention on the subject

My only critique is that there is not the vibrant colors of your other photos in this shot. I think the shadow on his face is the reason, too bad there was not better light because this is a great shot.
