Another shot from the Porte du Solei ski area (although I think I had Skiied into Switzerland at this stage). Religous symbols and shrines in the mountains of France and Switzerland are quite a common sight when walking in the summer, but this rather strident Cross really stood out against the snow.

I like this snap,
although i dont like to see
crosses in mountains...
and as you said there are many
(it used to be Religious symbol,
but now crosses are there because
skier's or snowboarder's deth)

Hi Jon, you have very good depth in the picture, the mountains provide different 'layers' to the shot. I like the Cross as the subject too, perhaps a better note would tell us more about the purpose of its presence. :)

So not the result of some snowboading reclessness :-) Nice shot, but I think you could have made more of it by shifting your PoV a bit to the left, angling to the right, and placing the cross on the right of a view down the valley.
