Photographer's Note
A view of the two towers that frame the entrance to the old port of La Rochelle with a leaning tower on the right! The 14th century Saint-Nicolas tower was built on marshy and somewhat unstable ground, so over the years the tower began to lean... but much less than the famous leaning tower of Pisa!

Bonjour Jean
The old tower at right does have a slight tilt to the right but that doesn't detract from its superb harbour position and elegance. It also frames the bg church on the hill together with its cousin castle at left. Tfs!

Pozdrav.
Lep pogled i trenutak, dobar tekst ...
Lepa stara arhitektura, dobro pokazana sa lepim, bojama, kontrastom i uhvacenim trenutkom sa oblacima koji dolaze i najavljuju promenu vremena.
Lepe kule na ulazu u luku i zastave.
Dobar rad, lepa fotografija.
Zelim vam lep dan za odmor, sve najbolje.

Hi Jean,
Very nice to see these towers from the seaside too. Leaning of the tower was not noticeable on the previous shot but here is is well visible. That bell tower in the background catches my attention too.

Hello Jean,
The same view as recently but from another angle. This time we see a nice church framed by the two towers guarding the entrance to the port. It's amusing to see the right tower leaning quite heavily. Also from this side you had a good light.
Best regards,
Gert

Bonjour Jean,
Le drapeau de la France attire le regard. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails des tours à l'entrée du vieux port de La Rochelle. La lumière met en valeur les couleurs de l'image. Bonne journée.

Hi Jean,
So France has its own leaning tower! The two towers make an imposing entrance to the little harbour. Good composition with the two towers on each side and the church tower in the middle in the background. Great sharpness and exposure.

Hello Jean,
I really like how the two old towers on either side of the harbour entrance frame the view of the town and the church in the middle. Lovely soft light and fine, natural colours as well.

Bonjour Jean,
Les tours d'une photo précédente montrées ici d'un côté différent.
De là aussi, ils forment une entrée impressionnante au port avec une belle vue sur la marina et le clocher penché de l'église.
Amitiés, Paul

Hello Jean,
Yes, I can see the slight lean. Is it safe, will it stand up to the test of time?

Hi Jean
Seems like it's leaning backwards, not towards the ground, so i guess that better? who knows. interesting subjects, love the age and history of the subjects, and its my first time hearing about this leaning tower. love the sharpness and depth
cheers

Olá Jean,
Belissima vista esta a partir de um angulo muito bem escolhido para apreciarmos toda a beleza deste lugar. Muito interessante o detalhe da torre inclinada mas ainda de pé.
Saudaçoes

Hello Jean
Beautiful view of this old port and two towers opposite. Good combination with church architecture in the background. The French flag flies over the tower.

Bonjour Jean,
I can recognize this beautiful place from your previous photograph. Together the allow us to better imagine this interesting place. Nice side light makes the oval shapes feel three dimensional. Interesting tower in the very centre as well.
I like to see natinal flags in the photos, not sure about the yellow one, probably local?
Great reportage, very well done,
M
