Bвtisse incontournable sur le port de Camaret , la Tour Vauban est une tour de dйfense polygonale de 18 mиtres de hauteurs construite entre 1693 et 1696 , sur les plans du cйlиbre ingйnieur militaire franзais .
Classйe Monument Historique en 1907 , et sur la liste du Patrimoine Mondial de l'UNESCO depuis 2008.

Bonjour Denis, an interesting set of buildings, taken from a good angle.
Excellent sharp shot.
It is good that it is a UNESCO listed building.

Hello Denis,
The tower looks like it has seen tough times during the last 300 years, but being on the UNESCO list should make sure it is protected and maintained. Along with the surrounding buildings of the same design it forms a fine group of a style that was probably typical of its times and purposes. As usual you captured the colours very well.

Well framed and composed using the principles of thirds and a subject number of 3 as well. Wonderful warm cold colour contrasts and superb sharpness. Tfs!

Bonjour Denis,

The different colours on the buildings make the windows and the corners highly visible, whilst the centre of the main tower, showing black, looks as if it has been hit by cannon ball or some such missile.

It's a fine, sharp exposure, very well composed to create a sense of depth and with good colours.

Hello Denis, An interesting complex of the buildings. I like the decorative use of the big stones in the corners and around the windows. Nice composition.

Hi Denis,
Special looking tower and surrounding fortification. Those big stone blocks on corners and narrow gun holes give this original look. Strong colour variations are obviously signs of time. Half cloudy sky makes a good background.
