Bonjour Jean-Saint.

This wooden sculpture probably was mend and created as a replica of the famous stone figures on the Eastern Islands. Both, the carving’s scholar and you deserve a medal for this piece of art. Great colours and sharpness, tfs.

Hello Jean,
It was clearly inspired by Easter Island, but with features added by the artist's own imagination. It's a magnificent monument captured in a good photo.

This is modern day moai, complete with baseball cap!
The sculpture is undeniably influenced by the style of the Easter Island sculptures and you have captured it with excellent clarity and colours.

Bonjour Jean,
this sculpture made me smile.
I have showed a picture of another Moai here:

also carved in the wood, but we have another one, bigger made of some other material.
You have seen it already.
Anyway in the place I live they serve as a reference to James Cook travel around the world.
What I like in this one is the pattern on the face using nice set of colors.

Yes, it is an impressive wood carved sculpture. It has resemblance to those on the Easter Island. But still it has a lot of originality too. Good light and angle.

Je pensais que vous aviez fait un voyage sur l'оle de Pвques.
La statue ici n'est pas gravйe dans la pierre et elle a йtй peinte par un artiste moderne.
Mais l'allusion est claire!
