Photographer's Note

The riders of the Tour de France will pass in Charente Maritime on the Atlantic coast from Tuesday, September 8. While waiting for this stage, the road is decorated ... as here at this roundabout in Ronce les Bains with a pretty pyramid of very colorful bikes.
This stage will take the runners from island to island, from the island of Olйron to the island of Rй via the seaside resort of Royan.

Bonjour Jean, it is always interesting to see the different displays that are made specially for when the Tour passes through each place.
This is quite a special display, all those bikes painted in the colours of the winners shirts, but I can't see any polka dot ones!
I will look out for these if I get time to watch the race.

I, too, have watched the Tour de France and have witnessed its excitement!
The bicycle sculpture is a really innovative way to welcome the cyclists and their entourage.
The colours are nicely saturated and I like how you have created a good sense of depth.

When the Tour de France once started in England, there were decorative bicycles placed all along the route. Many are still there!!!

Jean, the roundabout is decorated with a hand made structure dedicated to the Tour de France. It represents cycles on a pyramid in wood. Nice decoration to welcome the cyclists. Fine colors, good sharpness, regards.

Bonjour Jean,
we had a bike race passing through Yorkshire few years ago and there were a lot of decorations like that. May be not the pyramide but also a lot of bikes painted in bright colors like these.
Nice way to celebrate the sport event.
Captured in a lovely setting with palm trees.
