Photographer's Note

One in a short series of images taken in the French village of Burie. For some reason the file data no longer holds the date the photographs were made. But, I am guessing they were taken around 2008 give or take.rnrnBurie is a village and commune in South-West France in the dйpartement of Charente-Maritime. In 2008 it had a population of 1259. It is located 13 kilometres from the town Cognac amidst vineyards that produce grapes that go into making cognac and pineau des Charentes, a locally produced fortified wine drunk mainly as an aperitif.rnrnThe Romanesque church of Saint-Lйger dates partly from the 12th century with later additions and alterations.rnrn(Source: Wikipedia)

Les arbres cadrent bien l'hфtel de ville. La prise de vue permet de voir les dйtails du monument et de l'hфtel de ville de Burie. La qualitй de la lumiиre embellit les couleurs de l'image. Bonne journйe.

Hello Stephen,
A very nice picture of this stately building, a real French hotel de ville. The details of the faзade are very nice and the flowers and monument make a good foreground. The blue sky and bright sunlight were perfect as well.

Hello Stephen,

This is a fine building, perhaps a hotel or even a mairie.
Your photograph shows excellent clarity and is composed almost symmetrically to emphasise the regularity of the design.
The clock tower is imposing and gives the building even more prestige.

Weather looks amazing in France. The French Open shows the people fanning themselves to cool down! I think the weather is much better in London than it is up here, in Lancashire! It's warm but has odd showers, more like April!

the roof has victorian aspect but the lower part looks more french.nice details of the building and the monument and garden around.
