Stained glass windows

In this Cistercian church, stained glass can surprise. In the time of the monks, according to a strict rule, the windows are only garnished with glasses "in grisaille". When Gustave Fayet acquires Fontfroide the windows have disappeared. They then adopt the bias of color with his friend Renй Billa, musician and painter; they install in the Bievre the "glassware of the sand"; all the stained glass windows of the church come out of this glassworks in 1913. In this vast ensemble, an originality appears: the five stained glass windows of the north collateral present the life of Saint Franзois d’Assise.

Le cadrage serrй met les vitraux en йvidence. La prise de vue permet de voir les dйtails des vitraux. La lumiиre qui passe au travers des vitraux rehausse les couleurs de l'image. Bonne soirйe.
