La France en miniature, a photo from Ile-de-France, North

Photographer's Note

France Miniature is a 5-hectare (12-acre) outdoor park in the shape of France that contains about 160 outdoor 1/30-scale models of major French monuments and landmarks. Monuments are placed in the park to correlate approximately with their real-world locations in France. Many of the models are animated, and all of the country's best known landmarks are represented (the Eiffel Tower, Versailles, Lourdes, etc.). A system of model trains runs through the park, and animated boats ply the “Atlantic Ocean” and the “Mediterranean Sea” (lagoons positioned appropriately around the perimeter of the park). Visitors walk along paved paths to visit the various models.

Bonjour Philippe,
I just checked the Google maps view of this park, it's very nice it has the same shape as France. We have a similar park in The Netherlands, but that one doesn't have the same shape as the country. This is a very nice overview of the park and we can discover many monuments throughout the photo.

Bonjour Philippe,
In The Hague we have “Madurodam” a place like this, but then with Dutch miniatures.
Looking at your picture I conclude that mini-France have a lot more space and more green, but that is in real the same situation.

Having a little fun turning our world into a model! That's a great concept and cute, it's hard to believe almost appears real to begin with! i guess many hours of work must have gone into these and I would like to commend the person(s) who created this model. The level of detail put into the model is remarkable. What a wonderful piece of work well captured, Congrats. tfs

They had one of these parks in Thailand too and it was interesting to compare the scale models with places I had already been to, and to see the miniatures of other sites I had yet to visit. Good overview of the models. Tfs!

maravilhosa esta vista geral do parque e onde podemos identificar vбrios monumentos. em coimbra (portugal) hб um parque para crianзas com alguns monumentos em miniatura, mas sгo bem grandes. em gramado (brasil) visitei um parque mais parecido com este, com vбrios monumentos brasileiros e estrangeiros, mas a qualidade das rйplicas nгo era tгo perfeita como aqui.
