Photographer's Note
This statue is on the Saint Nicolas' place of Bastia since 1853. It is surrounded by palm trees that started to be attacked by the red palm weevil. It is probably what happened to one of the, on the right. The palm trees in Corsica could be all gone in afew years if they can't stop this insect.

Hello Stephane
I like this. The amount of PP would be too much for my taste if this were a colour image, but somehow you can get away with it more in monochrome! I think it's because b/w is inherently "unrealistic" anyway, so it takes heavy manipulation better than colour. The effect you've produced is dramatic, in keeping with the wide-angle distortion. Effective toning as well.
