Photographer's Note

Cordes sur Ciel fascinates all those who discover it because it is initially like a mirage: that of a city launching itself into the sky.

It is a living piece of history and art, holding alive in its stones the memory of all those who have passed through it since its creation in 1222 by the Count of Toulouse.

"Jardins des Paradis"

Created in 1998 by Eric Ossart and Arnaud Maurieres and enjoying a European wide reputation, the Jardin des Paradis is an unusual blend of contemporary and Eastern influences.
It is designed as a series of individual gardens all based on the meaning of the Persian word Paradis colour, sound and smell.Tea room, bookshop, educational booklet for children.

Its exceptional site, its remarkable architectural heritage, make it one of the most significant medieval cities of France, and one of the key sites of European heritage. It has been classified in the Grands Sites Midi-Pyrnes!
