Photographer's Note
I take a step back along the route of the pride walk to go back to the starting point, the Boulevard de Montparnasse.
surely this was one of the most sophisticated make-ups of last Saturday - my aim here was to catch a moment in which the desire to pose was not so evident. as I noticed all throughout the walk however, many people were so self-conscious and aware of the cameras that they continued to pose even when no one was shooting :)

Hello Cristina,
Fantastic portrait. This is a really beautiful interaction, and is a good example of portrait mode. The excellent ccolor and fine details lends a lovely feel to the scene. A well presented crop allows eyes to remain fixed on face. Well done.

Hi Cristina.
what a wonderful portrait! even with controlled light it would be hard to get such quality.
The details on the make up, the tonal range are simply superb.
A work with a pro touch, one of the best portraits i've seen on TE lately.
Cheers.

Ciao Cristina
Buona giornata

Good pose, nice void on the right.
When I first looked at it, the imminent image that came to my mind was Franelli...

Hello Cristina - A fantastic shot. The subject, of course, is fabulous. The make-up is a work-of-art and I am bowled over by the details and textures in the wig and hat. You have produced a really excellent portrait under, what I can imagine, are difficult conditions. Very well managed soft light with a lovely bot of back lighting illuminating the tendrils of hair. This has to be one of the best shots I have seen on TE for a while! Congratulations. Warm regards rosemary

Hello Crisitna
Great subtle portrait with lovely soft colours. It goes well with the subdued mood. Another element I really like is how blue the eyes are. Plume in the top left corner is sublime, off-center composition (with lots of room behind the back) is another good touch. Tops!
Tfs & enjoy summer (whatever the weather).

Hi Cristina
you worked well with your lens and the lady looks like a dummy, with no expresion in her eyes. Nice backlight to illuminate the hair and soft natural hues for the make up of the face.
have a nice WE

Hello Cristina,
Human, android or mannequin? This is a remarkable... person... and a great portrait. The make-up, hairstyle and other gimmicks are fascinating and well captured with good light and sharpness.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hi dear Cristina
A fantastic portrait for the festival shot!
Marvelous close-up for the horse!
Sharp and clear image as usual as your trademark.
Colored image is also nice indeed.
Her strong eye is very very remarkable.
The position and framework is the best selected.
Thanks for your sharing with good work and have a good weekend! Best regards,
Takero from rainy(regrettable) Tokyo

Ciao Cri,

congratssss!

Hello Cristina,
I enjoy going through your Marche des Fiertés series to get a sense of the place and event, but this photo is the most captivating one for me.
The way your subject eyes are absorbed adds some mystery to his character. The costume and make-up are stunning, with gorgeous details that you have captured perfectly.
Framing your subject face close to the border is a bit unorthodox, but I think that your unconventional composition emphasizes the eccentric nature of the subject, which works nicely. I should also mentioned that the feather coming from the upper corner and going towards the subject is a great detail that helps the way the viewer read your photo.
Impressive and glamorous portrait!
André
