Hello everyone
Here's another shot of my Sunday race. The cold was at its height and in any case fans manage to go do what they like to do well (including photographers, too!).
These two men had just arrived, and certainly saw me on the other side of the river, trying to scare ducks. I guess they wondered what I could do well!
In the end, I was at the end of my zoom, I would liked to nearby the plan, but we can not have all at the same time, no?

Good Morning Lily,

I was most attracted to your shot by the fine composition and the lovely reflections. The figures are very well positioned in the frame.
My suggestion for improvement would be to give the figures more definition as they are the focal feature.

I have done a little w/s which I hope you will find useful.

les deux compares lа ils semblent vraiment prйoccupйs. surtout cela а gauche, les mains aux flancs, a un air assez sur les dйfensives :-))!! ce contacte visuel entre eux et toi est un point trиs fort et agrйable du cadrage. elles sont mкme trиs belles les ombres trиs longues et la lumiиre d'hiver, souple en ce beau demi contre-jour. qu'elle est mкme une belle mйtaphore sur l'amitiй. Bravo!

Hi Lily

I like the lateral light of your shot, and the framing which put the fisherman and his mate on the strong point. Reflections on the water are nice too. You've well applied the rule of the third! What to improve? It's going to be more and more difficult as you improved a lot since the beginning of your life in TE. I would suggest to crop a little at the right to remove this straight post, but it's really minor!
Looking at the data, maybe also decrease the speed 1/1000s (!) - are you sure you need such a quick shot - and so increase the aperture. For landscape, genarally, the settings are on the aperture provided you don't get a too low shutter (in your case 1/250s, the inverse of the focal length) to prevent from blur.

Hi Lily. The scene I like. The two men fit well into the picture. It is a mixture of winter with little snow and a little early spring mood. I find the picture but a little too dark. Bev did a workshop. I now have another Worksphop tried. Rgds, Wolfgang.

esta muy bonita esta foto!!! peudo ecribrir en frances? porque Clodo en ingles, Manumay en espanol, blusimon poderia (?) en italian...y yo en frances!!! entonces esta una foto international!!!
je l'aime beaucoup, je trouve le acdrage tres bon (pas plus pres pour moi pour garder l'ambiance avec les reflets, le givre....)
c'est peut-etre un poil sombre...mais c'est pour chipoter!!je tente un WS

Hi Lily,

I like your framing here and from this point of view, very well done. The placement of the shore almost halfway through the image works very well too allowing us to see so much of those reflections. Yes the image could benefit from being a little sharper and perhaps a little lighter too but only small adjustments. Good capture of the men, and i agree they are looking straight at you. Very appealing contrast of lights and shadow too. Thanks for sharing.

Hello Lily -A really beautifully composed shot with a lovely slow-paced calm feel to it. The light is attractive and I like the soft colours, a little sharpening would help to bring clarity but a very acceptable image nonetheless. TFS Rosemary

C'est bien vraie qu'au niveau matйriel on ne pas avoir tout d'un coup, toujours une affaire monnaie... Laissons l'argent de cфtй et contemplons la nature.
L'ambiance de froid est bien prйsente dans ton image, veste, chapeau et givre nous dйmontre la tempйrature. Un bon format, de beaux reflets. Une belle composition,

J'aime beaucoup l'ambiance qui se dйgage de cette scene,tu as su cadrer,les reflets sont beaux,les personnages(perplexes)sont au bon endroit.
Pour ma part,j'aurais fait un encadrement blanc pour gagner en lumiere mais je ne suis pas une experte...
(C'est juste pour "chipoter"(mot que j'adore que j'ai piquй а ta copine Vero...)

Une photo pleine de fraоcheur matinale ! J'aime beaucoup l'attitude des deux pкcheurs que ta prйsence rend perplexes. Quoi qu'il en soit la composition est bien йquilibrйe tant horizontalement que verticalement (arbres foncйs а gauche, pкcheurs а droite).

Me gusta mucho questa tua foto. Non solo perchи mostra uno scenario di grande bellezza e dei riflessi stupendi, ma sopratutto perchи riproduce una atmosfera molto particolare. C'est une photo qui m'a plu beaucoup!
Elle est vraiment belle!
J'adore surtout le point de vue (pdv) choisi, la compo avec ces reflets trиs jolis et agrйables, la lumiиre et les couleurs douces! Peut-кtre, elle manque un petit peu plus de la nettetй et des contrastes, mais elle est attrayante de cette maniиre quand-mкme! Ainsi, elle a un air d'agйe, du romantisme, d'une peinture!

Hi Lily. This is a beautiful picture. Composition is very nice with elements well placed. Reflections are very nice, colors are beautiful and definition is ok too. I've seen the workshops and I liked them and they all make sense but the mood in your original atracts me a lot. Great job, well done.

The tones and the tranquility of this shot are superb. Good use of the reflections, and the human figures (fisherman in a suggestive waiting pose) are great - really waiting for a catch.
