Ce fort a йtй construit en 1689, sur une оle proche des remparts de la ville, par l'ingйnieur Simйon Garangeau, d'aprиs les plans de Vauban. Ancien Fort Royal, il faisait partie de la ceinture dйfensive de la baie de Saint-Malo qui s'йtendait du Fort La Latte а la Pointe de la Varde. En 1817, il fut le lieu d'un duel mйmorable entre le corsaire franзais Robert Surcouf et 12 officiers prussiens. En aoыt 1944, 380 malouins y furent emprisonnйs sans nourriture pendant six jours par les Allemands…

Hello Nicole,
The line of wooden poles create an attractive foreground. Further away we get a good view of the wide beach and the waves rolling onto it. The composition has a strong diagonal accent of several parallel lines, which provide a nice structure. The fortress is a good focal-point in the distance and the many persons animate the view. Many fine ingredients, including a good light, make this an enjoyable photo.

La composition est bien divisйe, le ciel, la mer et la plage. Tu as aussi bien capturй la puissance des vagues. La prise de vue permet de voir les dйtails de la mer et de la plage. Bonne journйe.

Bonjour NIcole,

I really like how you have composed this view of the beach, anchoring the f/g with a strongly textured triangle, with excellent details of sandy section, leading to the old, rectangular fort.
After the rain, there is a calm atmosphere, as people walk along the edge of the sea.

aprиs la pluie quel le soleil revient souvent les tons sont fantastique quel dйcoupage de pieux brise lames en premier plan et tout l'immensitй de la plage avec les personnes ce fort en fond sur l' оle superbe
