Chвteau de Beynac

Cette construction mйdiйvale, d'allure austиre, perchйe sur le haut d'un plateau calcaire domine le bourg sur la rive droite de la Dordogne. Le chвteau prйsente la forme d'un quadrilatиre irrйgulier prolongй au sud par un bastion en йperon. Le sйvиre donjon, garni de crйneaux, date du xiiie siиcle. Protйgй du cфtй du plateau par une double enceinte, le chвteau surplombe la Dordogne de 150 m.

Superbe lieu et superbe photo, quelle bel effet avec cette luminositй dorйe et avec ces reflets, bon format vertical pour accentuer l'impression de hauteur de la falaise et le point fort de l'image, le chвteau.

Found the spot from where taken this beautiful Chateau across the Dordon river at 44.8384, 1.145 on the map.
A marvelous sight under bright daylight, impressive cliff built upon.

One of the chateaus that I did enjoy visiting in the Dordogne back in 1998. A good view from across the river.

The fascinating castle is dramatically situated on top of the steep rock, high above the very picturesque traditional village by the river. It is a beautiful view captured in an attractive warm light.

A fascinating note and a very fine photograph of this most impressive castle standing defiantly at the top of a high cliff above more modest buildings and the river bank. The golden light is delightful and makes the castle stand out superbly against a deep blue sky.

Glorious light, rich colours, perfect exposure and exquisite details and sharpness.

this is such a beautiful spot!
I like the multiple levels of the composition with the castle on top of the cliff and a town at the very bottom.
The rock separating those two worlds is so steep.
Great warm light conditions, everything feels so pleasant for the eye. The reflection is quite vivid too.
