Un lion impressionnant, sauvage et rugissant, plaque au sol un serpent. Le reptile, la tкte rejetйe en arriиre, les mвchoires grandes ouvertes, siffle avec dйfi. Le rendu extrкmement naturaliste des animaux et la violence de l'expression firent de cette sculpture un йvйnement.

Une belle rйalisation bien mise en valeur par le cadrage et le bon rendu de la photo, l'animal donne une impression de fйrocitй avec cette mвchoire et ces crocs, beau travail de la par de l'artiste.

It always surprises me that the lion has been so popular in Europe over the centuries, while no single lion walks around in the wild.
Here a nice specimen fighting a snake.
Good composition with the shadow and the overexposed wall in the background. This provides a wonderful contrast.

Quand ce n'est pas un cheval, c'est un lion. Ici, il terrasse le serpent comme le bien terrasse le mal. J'aime bien le cadrage carrй dans les circonstances.

thats an interesting and powerful sculpture.
hard to photograph it because its in the shadows, but there are still many details that are easily seen and appreciated. good one. cheers

A very interesting sculpture that makes me think how this fight would be in the real life! But I think I have much more fear of the snake than the lion! The details are very impressive and were captured with very good sharpness! Beautiful job!

Salut Philippe,

A splendid sculpture of the lion attacking the giant snake. My friend's cat used to catch small, highly venomous brown snakes in the forest behind their house and drop them on the front porch beside them after they were finishing playing with them. My friend and her family weren't thrilled by it either! Good sharpness and punchy light contrasts. Tfs!
