Photographer's Note
The Aiguilles de Bavella were one of the highlights of my trip to Corsica, and on this late morning we were at last lucky – at least temporarily – with the weather conditions. The previous day we could only have imagined such a view - see workshop version for the view we had experienced from the same location. Needless to say, we were very glad to have made a second visit!
This shot was taken on a walk to the Trou de la Bombe starting from the Bavella Pass at 1218m altitude. We walked through the shady pine forest which allowed intermittent views of the Aiguilles, but ironically it was the view from almost back at the car park which was the most impressive! A few minutes after finishing our walk, the sun disappeared and heavy drops of rain began to fall.

Hi Susanna,
great shot! I really like the wonderfully looking clouds in the sky. Your POV is well chosen and the trees in the foreground create a good depth. Great shot, thanks for sharing!
Take care

Susanna,
the contrast between the shadow in the foreground and the full sun exposed Aiguilles as well as the polarized sky with the clouds makes up a wonderful composition. Using a tree at each side provides a good framing for the great unfolding in the background.

Bonjour Susanna,
la qualité est au rendez-vous ici et elle coiffe tous les paramètres de la photo que je ne vais pas énumérer.
Juste dire que tu nous a bien cadré ce paradis de nature qui resplendit par ses couleurs.
Excellent dimanche.
Daniel.

Hello Susanna,
Difficult light, not easy to bring it all together, but despite the fact the tree on the right is a bit dark, you did very well on the overal exposure. Your upward pov give the mountain an even more majestic feeling and the polarized sky helped a lot in this to bring more contrast between the green and blue with some very nice clouds inside.

Hello Susanna,

Hi Susanna
You were lucky to get such a lovely light, it was so hazy when we were there but not a drop of rain. I like those wispy clouds in between the trees.
Regards
Nikki
