Suivant а la lettre les plans йtablis par Vauban, la Citadelle dessine un carrй flanquй de quatre bastions а orillons, et couvert par trois demi-lunes. Ses remparts sont encerclйs d'un fossй sec.
Au sud, la porte dite Porte Royale, surmontйe d'un clocher et d'une horloge, communique directement avec la ville. Tandis qu'au nord, s'ouvre une porte de secours vers la route de France.

Hello Philippe,
Vauban is not a man to be surpassed when it comes to fortifications. Excellent capture of this citadel in miniature, allowing us to appreciate the least little detail.

A beautiful bird's eye view of the ancient citadel. It's very interesting to watch the design and locations of the defensive walls. It's a historically and also graphically interesting and attractive photo with superb sharpness.

Bonjour Philippe,
You had an excellent Point of View for the total picture of the citadel.
It is interesting to see that many of these citadels has the shape of a star.
Also in Holland you can find some conserved examples of it.

J'en ai visitй une en vrai de ce cйlиbre architecte ingйnieur de l'йpoque et c'йtait а Neuf Brisach en Alsace.Un trиs beau barrage aussi а Strasbourg. Cet homme йtait un gйnie et il йtait trиs prolifique.

An impressive true to life and size scale model. Only the grass gave it away that it's a recreation. Good sharpness and excellent color and saturation. The downward pov works well. Tfs!
