Photographer's Note
he Arc de Triomphe de l'Étoile , Triumphal Arch of the Star) is one of the most famous monuments in Paris. It stands in the centre of the Place Charles de Gaulle (originally named Place de l'Étoile), at the western end of the Champs-Élysées. It should not be confused with a smaller arch, the Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel, which stands west of the Louvre. The Arc de Triomphe honours those who fought and died for France in the French Revolutionary and the Napoleonic Wars, with the names of all French victories and generals inscribed on its inner and outer surfaces. Beneath its vault lies theTomb of the Unknown Soldier from World War I.

Hello Philippe,
A fine view from above of the Arch. This view from above gives it a fresh approach. The good light and sharpness brings out the reliefs of the decorations very nicely with a well captured 3D effect.
Kind regards,
Gert

Bonjour Philippe,
Elancourt Arch de Triomphe, on photo it is very similar to the original monument at the Place-De-Gaulle, but smaller.
You almost made me think it was the real - not the miniture. But than, saw the trees around the circle and the different pavement, and no people around, so realized this is the replica.
Excellent take from good angle, if you'd wanted to show the original from similar POV, you would have to take a plane or a balloon flight above to gain same effect.
Bravo,
Ike

Hello Philippe,
The downwards point of view on the arch is not one we often see; it shows it too superb effect under a sympathetic ambient light. Perfectly exposed with top class colours and clarity allowing us to appreciate the least detail.

Bonjour Philippe,

Amicalement

Hello dear Philippe,
On first instance it has the effect, as if it's just a model of l'Arc de Triomphe in a glass case !
Anyhow, just amazing with perfect sharpness.
TFS and have a nice weekend

Ciao Philippe
l'arco trionfale ha una lunga storia, iniziata con i romani e arrivata fino a noi.
Sono stato a vedere quello di Parigi e ho visto anche il fuoco acceso con i soldati a fare la sentinella.
Molto bello anche questo nella foto.
Buon we
Carlo

Hi Philippe,
Good frame to show another Arc de Triomphe with informative note to introduce both architectures, clear to see carvings on the wall too, impressive view under soft sunlight, interesting composition, distinct photo, good shoot.

Bonsoir cher Philippe,
your close and downward point of view offers us a superb perspective on the iconic monument. We get a thorough idea of the architecture and a fascinating glimpse of the marvellous sculptures, I appreciate both of these treats very much. Clarity is excellent and the shadows quite suggestive. The tight frame is well considered, it has isolated the monument, leaving some interesting details around it, though. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a lovely evening,
Ourania

Hello Philippe,
I am a bit mystified by this image, is there a third Arc de Triomphe? The one at the western end of Champs-Élysées seems to have more open spaces around it and its grounds are well kept. This one seems to have a pinkish tint, the grounds around it are dilapidated and it doesn't seem to have open spaces around it.
Aha, I have read some other critiques and it seems to be a model. Nicely done.
Regards,
MT

Hola Philippe
