the visit continues street Klber, it's late afternoon

on the left one can see the colors which can be seen more and more on the frontages with the policy of restoration, and on the right the traditional colors of Troyes before... before, all the beams were covered with the same coating to fight against the large fires... the biggest to date goes up at 1524

The half-timbered houses of Troyes (as those of Provins) have generally only one corbelling per frontage, it's the specificity of Champagne; in Alsace or Normandy, one finds a projection on each floor. The corbelling is the advanced frontage on the first floor, with height of the sand pit (large horizontal beam on the level of the floor of the first stage on which all frontage is pressed)
