Although I like the rosy morning light and reflection of the sky on that minibus, visual impact is not the main point of this upload. That vehicle moves autonomously, although there is a safety driver just in case. Finnish autonomous driving software company Sensible 4 has been chosen to drive a pilot project in Tampere. Two automated minibuses offer free transport for local citizens to a tram stop and a local shopping centre along the 3,1-kilometer pilot route.

Hello Kari,
I still find the idea of driverless cars a bit scary, although it is said that they are safer than human drivers. A good photo of this wintry cityscape with a nice rosy hue in the snow.

a special historic moment well registered by you. the snowy urban landscape tells much about your homeland. here in southern brazil temperatures are terrible high and breaking records in many towns.

Hello Kari,
There have been similar trials going on in Stockholm for a while, but not yet in the central parts. Can these cars handle sudden icy patches in winter, or a child running into the street unexpectedly? The title of the photo will make everyone curious, and for a good reason. The message on the side of the car makes an ordinary photo almost unique. It's very well spotted.

It is good that they are doing careful trial but given the mishaps with driverless cars in the USA I'm not keen to see them anywhere near me. A good winter photo of the trial bus with nothing else nearby.

Hello Kari, Nice pink light and interesting roundabout but this car is important here. I have never seen a driverless car and the idea of this is weird. But as I have no driving licence, maybe it would be nice to have it. I am joking. I went by the autonomous train in Japan and the metro in Dubai. It is fun.

Maybe are this the future cars, I hope with less accidents.
The roundabout with snow makes your picture nice wintery.
Tram rails are a nice addition.

Hello Kari,

We saw on the news that similar cars were being tested on our roads! You just expect to see someone with a control box and a joystick!
Is it a coincidence that there are no other vehicles in view!
Are there plenty of people eager to be passengers or are customers still very wary!

Hi Kari,
It is actually interesting to see the driverless car going over the icy roads. I wonder how they cope with the white roads. I thought the driverless cars are somehow using the road as orientation but that would be impossible on a snow covered road.
