Photographer's Note
The corner between the two squares Amagertorv and Højbro Plads is right in the centre of old Copenhagen, most tourists will pass this spot.
During the last thirty years city life has changed a lot in Copenhagen from being in the street because you had to, to being in the street because you want to.
This development can to a large extent be attributed to research conducted at, and ideas generated at, the Royal Academy's School of Architecture in the department of urban studies under professor Jan Gehl.
I'll certainly recommend his writings if you want to learn more on the subject of how urban planning affects urban life.
The skyrocketing income and standard of living during those thirty years is of course also an important part of the new city life, a cup of espresso at Cafe Europa on this corner is not cheap.

Well Well Torben

your note is pleasing and informative, Torben but, again, imho, another aimless image.
I understand if you say: "I am looking for alternative subjects" but you haven´t said that.
the girl´s eyes look rather weird. being sensitive to your images as I am, i feel kind of disappointed with it.
please forgive me if I sound harsh, but I would like to hear from you about your intentions and the secrets here.

Hi Torben! I like how this server's head is chopped off, as if she--and perhaps the scene beyond, cannot be contained. It makes it very immediate and almost journalistic in its flavor.

Hi Torben,
It's been a while I've been following your pics on trekearth, and each time it's a delight to see what you've done!
I just really love this one, reminds me of the good times I spend living in copenhagen for almost 2 1/2 years... Makes me kind of nostalgic each time, I'll have to go back one of these days :)
Ok, thanks for sharing, Mange tak for den billeder (ok I lost completely my danish)
