A tribute to Pierre! Some old cars I spotted in Copenhagen whilst walking back to town from the Little Mermaid. Interesting to see locals wearing sunglasses and reclining in deck chairs in the sunshine, which I never noticed when I took this. I have cloned out 2 modern parked cars in the fg.

Whta a great collection, Chris, I'd stay there for long and take many pictures of those cars.
The big Cadillac on lower part drew first attention, than realized how many oldie's were there.

Hi Chris
Fabulously captured convention of cars... and people! Great timing for the beautiful "lady in red" in the bottom right corner that is the star of the show in your image.
Indeed, people in deck chairs are an interesting addition, like a different world outside of the main area of the photo.

Hello Chris!

A great convention of oldies, not only of Corvettes but also of minor cars like the Fiat 600 minibus half cropped off on the right side.
This reminds me of two things:
In Gцteborg/Sweden in the late seventies, I saw rockers cruising through the city not on bikes but in american streetcruisers, and I wonder if there is a similar habit in Denmark.
Denmark is a fantastic place for old cars, especially in rural areas. I met a man on Bornholm island in 2000 who owned a 1929 Ford, and he said: "This is our family car!"

I just ask myself is there is any Volvo visible - which I do prefer.

Hello Chris,
It makes me think of Istanbul in the 70's: old American cars and water. Only people don't look the same. They liked to paint the cars brightly in those days, to the benefit of photographers.

Hello Chris,

This was definitely worth capturing, it is so different from the normal vintage car rally! This looks almost like a spontaneous event, where people can just pop along and chat to owners about their precious cars.
The red car, in the f/g, looks as if it is about to take off!
It's a very interesting setting, with the sea as the b/g!

I enlarged on my screen up to 500 % and saw only eight ladies in this whole 'sea of men' maintaining with satisfaction the nostalgia of yesteryears, as myself go into trance in front of a replica of the first car I bought!!
Very colorful gathering of aficionados.

Isn't it wonderful to accidentally find such an event. I have never even owned a car, and still enjoy such occasions very much. And on this case they come in many bright colours. Corvette seems to be quite popular. You did awesome job on cloning. That for sure was difficult on cobble stone pavement.

Hello Chris,
I used to see this kind of old vintage car convention here too but not anymore.
There are so many old cars to admire and feeling 'envious' of the cars' owners.
I think Batman has arrived , driving with his 'Red-car'. He and Robin , must be reclining in the deck chairs ....could it be them the far right under the crane boat :-)
I must say that you've done a terrific job 'cloning'. But I think you've forgot to clone the white Van out :-)

This is not a photo from Turkey, but it has one of my favorite cars: the Chevy almond tail lights - it must be a late '50s model. Beautiful color, too.
