Photographer's Note
The Palace Hotel at left and the City Hall Clocktower at right, in central Copenhagen, complement each other superbly. I have cloned out a parked green van at far left. It was opened on 15 July, 1910. I stayed in a much cheaper hotel around the corner.

Hello Chris,
The charge for a room at this hotel seems to be pretty normal Scandinavian (=too much). You obviously survived the cheaper one, but the Palace and the City Hall probably made for a much nicer photo. This is very much a case of a wonderful warm light and fine sharpness.
Best wishes,
Gert

Hello Chris,
I remember the square and these buildings in the centre of Copenhagen.
The low position of the sun created splendid warm tones on both buildings.
The contrast with the blue is very beautiful. Also the red and white Danish flag is very striking on this photo.
Best regards, Paul

Chris, this square is a landmark in Copenhagen, an unmissable place where the tourists and the residents like coming. The two brown buildings are impressive, both have towers but the city hall tower comprises a clock and the Danish flag on its roof. Fine colors, perfect sharpness, regards.

Bonsoir Chris,
Les tours sont impressionnantes. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails de l'hôtel Palace et de l'Hôtel de Ville. La qualité de la lumière embellit les couleurs de l'image. Bonne soirée.

Hi Chris
Probably better without the green car. A well timed photo just before the shadows got too long. Good detail and colour in the large view.
cheers

Hello Chris, excellent composition, striking colours.
I imagine what is the price at this hotel. (I will check later :)). Probably this cheap hotel nearby was also expensive. I stayed in the camping and it was terrible.
Best regards MAlgo

Ha! Ha! Chris, I have sometimes done just the same, posted a beautiful hotel and admitted that I couldn't afford to stay there!
You have shown us a very impressive hotel, spanning one side of the square and complemented with the clock tower building on a second side.
The sunlight was perfect, making the buildings almost glow in its light, whilst shadows are creeping in to show their effect.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hello Chris,
A fantastic photo from the heart of Copenhagen. Both the hotel and the city hall look amazing in this clear light. The warm colours make a wonderful contrast with the blue sky.

Hi Chris,
I have been in Copenhagen twice, but either at terrible light conditions and/or with a poor quality lenses.
This picture makes me so jealous. I tried to take a similar one, trying to include both of those characteristically shaped towers but it was in pre-digital times so I was not able to see the results until I returned home...
Amazing light with warm sunshine illuminating the city hall. The square itself remains in the shadow but I like this effect as if the buildings were in a spotlight here.
Excellent quality work,
M
