Photographer's Note
I am persistent in sharing my Copenhagen photos. As you see in this photo, the weather didn’t spoil me there. I really liked this town, it is quite picturesque, but the light I had was too challenging for me.
This photo was taken along Amagertorv, an elongated square which is part of a longer pedestrian promenade, Stroget. A faded silhouette of tower, which you may be able to spot in the sky, belongs to former St Nicholas Church, one of the oldest churches in town (going back to 1200s), which was turned to the Nikolaj, Copenhagen Contemporary Art Center.

Czesc Mariusz!
Jak przyslowie mowi, "nie zawsze swietego Jana"
Ale to cz-b zdjêcie ma swoj urok.
Czasem znakomicie ukrywa braki kolorow.
Ciekawy plac, interesujaca "posadzka".
Mgla dodaje smaku tej kompozycji.
Milego wieczoru.

pozdrawiam

Hi Mariusz
A good misty B&W (was it B&W or colour film?). The broad paved foreground actual leads you into the photo.
cheers

Hi Mariusz,
Good option for this photo with this foggy weather, good contrast result in b&w, perfect to present this pavement, well framed with a large FG, interesting depth, tfs.

Bonjour, cher Mariusz,
Un retour en arrière bien agréable à travers cette prise de vue en noir et blanc qui donne plus de force à la composition.
Le sol luisant sous la pluie et l'architecture environnante donnent un aspect particulier fort intéressant.
Amitiés.

Hello Mariusz,
B&W was a good choice for a foggy day, it allows the weather conditions to express themselves and become a natural part of your photograph. I love to take photographs when mist is around, for atmosphere, but it doesn't happen too often where I live.
The tiled walkway is a very important feature in your photograph and makes a sort of erratic guide to the people and well positioned buildings. It has a secondary use too, in that its shiny surface further reveals the weather conditions.
Have a good day,
Bev :-)

Hello Mariusz,
Such a pity it was a foggy day like that, although it does have its own mood and charm as well. I like the low viewpoint, which included a large part of the pattern of the square very nicely. Well done.

Hi Mariusz
Denmark is a country I need to explore again...because when I was here many years ago I only visited Copenhagen and nowhere else. And yes, we often see bright colorful shots from here, so this is very unique and different for sure. and why not right? just post it :) Nice to see something different from here. cheers

Dear Mariusz
A very beautiful scene from the streets of Copenhagen, made under very heavy light.
Often, I like to capture the sidewalk in the foreground, its great textures and gives a sense of depth and fine daily living scene and architecture in the background.
Excellent choice of black & white format, foggy mood and very nice composition.
Kind regards
Saša

Czesc Mariusz!
I don't recognise this part of Copenhagen, perhaps because of the fog or maybe I was there at night. A superb wide angled b&w shot with good sharpness and tonal range. Tfs!

This picture has special ambiance with the fog/mist, Mariusz. B&W rightly chosen and achieved depth despite these conditions, and scale by the people at the paved street.
Good afternoon,
Ike

Mariusz, good idea to convert the photo into a black & white version due to the fog. The promenade floor is made of geometrical patterns, they draw attention when you visit the city for the first time. The imposant church represents a landmark in Copenhagen. Fine colors, good sharpness, interesting photo note, regards.

Hello Mariusz
I have special memories of this square in Copenhagen because I used it for a painting that is now in Lars' room.
Wonderful to see it in the black and white here again in the fog.
Beautiful moody impression.
Well done
Have a nice day, groet Rob

Hi Mariusz.
A good composition of this great space in Copenhagen and the interesting buildings in the background shrouded in fog, people give us the ideal space, the B&W gives that timeless touch.
Sharpness, lighting, and the magnificent composition; they are all perfectly adjusted factors, in this interesting image.
Well done I like it.
You have a good day.
Very best regards.
Luis.

very beautiful image. I liked the use of B&W and the use of the patterns in the ground with the beautiful façades and people ahead, perfect.
my other site of photos (Photofolia) was extinct last month, maybe this one will have the same destiny. a pity.

Hello Mariusz,
It's interesting to see this picture and to compare it with my old photo. I had better weather than you, but otherwise the main difference between 1966 and 2006 seems to be that the street had been nicely tiled. I missed to include the church tower, but the fog almost wiped it out in your photo. Maybe it is reassuring that not every place changes beyond recognition in 30 years.
Best regards,
Gert
