Lur Blowers at City Hall, a photo from Kobenhavn, East

Photographer's Note

Copenhagen City Hall Clocktower and a column with 2 'lur' players. I've loaded a workshop as they cannot be seen clearly from this angle.

"The Lur Blowers (Danish: Lurblжserne) is a monument located next to City Hall in Copenhagen, Denmark, consisting of a bronze sculpture of two lur players mounted on top of a tall terracotta column."

It's sometimes spelt in English as 'lure' but that word has another meaning in English akin to entrap. As in a fish lure. The column is 20 metres tall.

Note also that Copenhagen is often spelt with K rather than a C if purchasing train tickets in Germany or Poland, eg. I went through all of the ticketing machine 'c's three times before it dawned on me.

Chris, you captured well that tall terracotta column surmonted by a sculpture with the city hall clock tower next to it. Good vertical framing showing unmissable monuments in the Danish capital. Fine colors, good image quality, instructive photo note, regards.

Le sujet est bien cadrй. La prise de vue permet de voir les dйtails de la tour de l'horloge de l'Hфtel de ville et de la colonne avec la sculpture des souffleurs. La qualitй de la lumiиre embellit les couleurs de l'image. Bonne journйe.

This is delicious, its the light that makes this pic stands out where timing is the key success here. It's a mind blowing distortion but at the same time I can only imagine how they're blowing their lugs out up there to draw attention! Great stuff, Congrats
