Photographer's Note
A blanket of snow has covered the fields and changed their appearance from the usual wet muddy brown of winter to a clean bright gleaming surface, almost like a sheet of paper with inscriptions from the wind making wavelike patterns in the loose powder-snow and from an animal drawing a little story there. I'm no expert on tracks but a little googling convinced me that this is probably deer-tracks.

excellent. minimalist, silent, graphic. i like especially the small amount of forest you offer us, with no mercy for the cold.
is the deer going or returning? ;)

Hi Torben, I am puzzled by the type of the foot print also. I cannot identify what animal it was. Well observed and nice contrast. The zigzag extension of the foot print created some mystic mood in this quiet scene.

So simple and so creative, Torben. I like the black trees at the upper part with the wavy shape of the hill, and the zigzaged line of tracks. I wonder what made that deer change its route. good one.

Hi Torben, I like these tracks, and though I'm used to seeing urban, gritty, delightfully blurry and quirky compositions from you, this is very nice indeed. The composition really works here, and is still just a bit quirky, as you've included only a remnant of the trees above. The tracks also make a strange angle that gets and keeps my attention.

beautiful composition, leaving the imagination to wander. I wondered if it was a little too bright on the snow, but I know that it is difficult not to get bright white from snow. I'm glad that you left the bit of trees in the back. Lovely :o)
