Telč square under snow, on a sunny winter day.

This picture is from the upper part of the square and shows the plague column (for more on plague columns, you can read the note that goes with one of my previous posts - Telč by Night 2 (http://www.trekearth.com/gallery/photo1126621.htm)).

Good Morning Dasha,

Very nice photograph of the town square with that pristine snow! Super that you got the sun to cooperate, too - that made for a wonderful shot with great light. The colorful buildings and bright blue sky add a nice contrast to the snow and the the plague tower. I like your pov and composition on this one very much!

what a beautiful winter view of your town ! The composition is splendid , as the superb snow in the FG . This one seems to be at the edge of the over exposure , but it is OK .

Telc is very nice under snow as well, these highlights lighten the foreground before the fountain and famous heritage houses

hello Dagmar.
what I find most fascinating are the textures of the snow in the foreground and patterns of light and shadow, I'd probably try and look for a composition that would allow me to fill most of the frame with them. but I also quite like your postcard-style approach, the composition with the row of houses in the background and few vertical accents works nicely.

what really stood out for me here is the snow in the foreground. love the form, shape, and curves, along with the light and shadows it has.
and the background scenery is pleasant to view as well...looks very picturesque.

Beautiful new one, nice quality as always.
The framing is very well seen, I have the feeling you particularly took care of it in this one.
You perfectly managed the light and it's never easy with snow.
The foreground with this snow not treaded is really nice. We feel the snow texture by looking at it.
You're very lucky to have snow, I haven't this luck in my area. I like so much the particular silence in these conditions.

Hi Dear Dasha, I've never seen snow this thick before. Can you walk in it? It seems it would come up to your hip! The square in Telc is so beautiful, I never tire of seeing it in all its moods. The play of light and shade on the snow is wonderful. The image is pin-sharp and the colours beautifully rendered. My favourite part is the amazing sky (apart from the fact that its so sunny for you) those clouds are wonderful, you couldn't have wished for more dramatically shaped ones. I re-read the info on the Plague Columns, it's incredible that it was still occurring relatively recently. I had it in mind that this was a disease of the Middle Ages. bledб zбvist.... To je prostě pohбdkovej obrбzek, v tэdnu bylo tak krбsně a mě se tak chtělo fotit, ale jako obvykle jsem malйmu utнrala rэmu, ћehlila plнnky a dělal taxikбře starљн dceři.... takћe zase nic. Snad za pбr let. Ale jinak si to uћнvбm :-).
Tak zas utнkej ven a foť, budu se koukat aspoň po večerech na tvй fotečky.

Hello Dagmar,

This photo attracted my attention since we are covered by a blanket of snow (approximately 70 cm deep) in Virginia. This is a colorful shot, more interesting because it is devoid of people, just high mounds and moguls, accentuated by the low angle of the sun.
