Photographer's Note

Kamen Brela is ten meters high rock, thirty meters from the beach. The stone near the Marina Hotel is a natural monument and a landmark of Brela, while Punta Rata beach is one of the most famous and cleanest Adriatic beaches. Hosted on many lists of the most beautiful beaches in the world.

The swimmer clearly indicates the size of this small island.
Fantastic how trees can grow on a rock.
It looks a bit like a large planter that was put in the sea.

Hello Janusz,
This is obviously a well known and popular rock, and it's easy to understand why. It makes a very pretty view, partly because of the beautiful colours of the surrounding water. The swimmer seen to the left is very important to the composition by adding life and giving us a sense of the size of the rock.

That rock with trees and bushes is truly beautiful. Ans quite surprising that there's so many plants there. Clear water looks nice too and invites swimmers. Nice to see two of them there.

Witaj Janusz!

This rock bears an invaluable remembrance for me:

Yougoslavia, summer 1984. The first summer holiday with my new girlfriend, now my wife for 33 years. We spent two weeks in Brela.

Germany, May 1988. My wife was just having our first son, and the birth lasted hours and hours from beginning to end. In a calm timespan, I went out to find some restaurant.
It was a Yougoslav restaurant, and the wall mural showed Kamen Brela.

A wonderful colorful image of an interesting little island decorated with green trees. It could be a tropical island in the Pacific. The weather was perfect for photography, the sunshine bringing out the bright blue and green of the water. Good composition and depth of field.

kiedy tylko sie dowiedzialem o tym fotogenicznym kamieniu musialem koniecznie sie tam wybrac i oczywiscie mam podobne zdjecie w swojej kolekcji:

Hello Janusz, this is an unusual sight, a lump of rock so close to the beach and yet with trees and plants growing upon it.
The swimmers give us an idea of the scale.

It's definitely the most beautiful beach in the world and also in TE , I've ever seen. So unusual with a massive chunk of rock , more 'unusual' are the trees on top of it ( so green as well ).
I'll be more than happy to swim around like the swimmers. The clear turquoise water to die for. Pure Paradise!!
