ÔÎÒÎÃÐÀÔÈÈ

This bridge is built from a famous Bulgarian master Kolyu Ficheto in 1867. It is situated upon river Yantra , town Byala. It was witness of many historical moments and tragedies nowadays. Length 276m, width 9m. It has 14 vault arches, decorated with embossed animal images.; made of chiseled out limestone stones. After flood in 1897, eight of the vault arches from the middle was destroyed. During 1922-23 the bridge was reconstructived with reinforcing bars. Near the bridge there was lofty a monument of the master. Many interesting facts are connect with the history of Bulgaria and this bridge.
