Hard Sunrise, a photo from Dobrich, East

Photographer's Note

This place is one of my favorite when I going to the north part of the black sea in Bulgaria. This morning the sun was hiding above deep clouds and only one small part of the horizon line shines over the sea.

Tuylenovo is a village on the north Bulgarian Black Sea Coast - "Tyulen" means seal in Bulgarian, but seals hadn't been seen in the area since the 1980s. The rocky coast is a great area for photographs.

Hello Philip.
A most impressive wild landscape picture with a great contrast between the 'milky' water and very sharp rocks. I don't usually like the 'milky' look, but here it works well. Your composition is very effective, with the thin strip of orange-yellow on the horizon being a balance to the rock formation on the right side. It's a very good exposure of this natural landscape under a gloomy sky. I don't recall seeing a shot from this area before, so it's something new for me.

Hello Philippe - In contrast to your last post we have a seascape in slightly cooler colours, the subtle shifts in hue are beautiful and the thin sliver of yellow a wonderful counterpoint to the greens and blues. Again the wonderful contrast between soft and hard edges and the composition is excellent. I like the fact that your shutter speed has not totally smoothed out the movement in the waves and we can still see some off their power. A shot of super quality. best regards Rosemary

Wow, stunning shot! Love the nice blurs on the coast as well as the golden colors of the natural arch as well as the contrast between the blues and yellow of the horizon. Great photographic elements! Another flawless composition from you!
