Stained-glass windows

Three in one picture.

Dobbelaere from Bruges made the stained-glass windows for the high choir. The middle five were placed in 1883, the four others in 1885. They were donated by the local clergy. The middle window represents Saint Vincent, surrounded by angels at the top and in the prison at the bottom. Underneath is an angel with the coat of arms of Eeklo above an oak forest and below the currencies: "Crux de Cruce", "Lumen in coelo", "In nomine Domini" and "Adveniat Regnum Tuum"

a special triple view of these precious stained glasses. we can enjoy each detail because the photo has a great quality. I liked more the one at right with Mary and Jesus.

Hello John,
Three stained glass windows presented with perfectly captured colours and light in neatly cropped photos. In an enlarged version of the triptych we can appreciate the colours and sharpness even better.

Hi John,

Nice picture of these stained glass windows. Excellent colors, lights and sharpness. But I find it very difficult to convey the impact of seeing them in person through a photo because they are very large and impressive. I liked to see the picture in large version. It is better to enjoy.

Reminds me a little of the Prague Castle Cathedral windows which also had many stunning examples stained glass windows. A nice sharp triptych here with good colour and framing. Tfs!

What a beautiful photo of these stained glass windows without being passed by the natural light of the environment. I see that you are also very fond of taking pictures of churches. In fact, the churches always give beautiful sceneries and besides all they always end up telling a lot of the history of the place, after all practically every main point of any village ends up being its church.
