Birthday member at TE.

December 15, an important day since my retirement,
I was retired 11 months earlier.
The total placed photos1930 on TE
Critics written 102,400.
Points achieved: 191,550
On average 99 points per photo.
I cannot especially thank anyone here, because there are several people who have helped me further, for which real thanks.
We may have become a big family, big may not have been the right word for a few years.
Today I post two pictures from Bruges, today a rainy day, but the tourists are always there.
Photo taken from the shopping street (Steenstraat) with the Christmas market in the background.

I hope I can participate on this site for a few months or years.

I wished I could be there this days !
You've captured the scenery and pre Xmas atmosphere very good.
Perfect sharpness and nice vivid colors.

Interesantan pogled i trenutak, dobar tekst ...
Lepa ulica i fasade kuca.
Lepo pokazano sa dobrom perspektivo, dobro uhvacen trenutak sa prolaznicima.

Hello John, we certainly hope that you continue to share your beautiful pictures for a long time to come.
Most of the people seem to be heading towards the Christmas market and we can see more decorations in the square. Taken with excellent sharp focusing.

Hello John,
Even with cloudy or rainy weather the streets of Bruges are always charming. I like the atmosphere in this main photo, with all of the people and the holiday decorations. They go nicely with the cobblestones and older architecture. In the WS photo I like the wet pavement. Here's to many more photos on TE! :-)

Hallo John, i hope you ll stay on Te and post many many photos. Everybody is walking in direction of the Christmas market, an attraction and a meeting point in Bruges during this season. The municipality placed fairy lights in the streets, they prettify the city by night. Fine colors, good sharpness, interesting photo note, regards.

Een heel mooi gezicht van de gezellig drukke straat met gevels aan beide zijden die vele aantrekkelijke details hebben. Ook de kerstversieringen zijn heel aantrekkelijk en sfeerverhogend, ook al waren de lichtjes nog niet aan.

Hello John,
Congratulations on 16 years on TE. For the first several years the site grew steadily, but after a peak around maybe 2010-2012 it has been just as steadily declining. I guess it was inevitable. Anyway, the main photo looks colder but much nicer than the WS. Rainy days are rarely nice. And people look so well dressed that they could not have felt cold. They create a nice atmosphere, even though I am personally not at all fond of the crowds during the period of Christmas shopping. But staying in the street I enjoy the well saturated colours.

You have been an inspiration to me ever since I joined the site and I hope you will continue to inspire for a long time yet. (Providing there is no cycling on icy roads!) 😉

Never mind the weather, this is a very Christmassy scene; the lights and decorations confirm that
And, of course, the people are all out in force, doing their Christmas shopping or just enjoying the atmosphere.
Fortunately, for you, most people are heading in the same direction, away from the camera, and encouraging viewers to follow their direction. The converging lines of the street add to this inward direction, too. Everything is guiding us to the end of the street where we are greeted with a beautiful building and garlands of decorations.

It looks cold and dark, and judging from the colorful attire worn by the people, more than a little chilly. Good sharpness and the flagstone street adds linear perspective guiding the eye towards the impressive bg building. Tfs!

Congratulations, I think you are the most popular TE member!
I hope indeed that we will enjoy your photos longer but of course the website seems to be shrinking and I am worried that it may be shut down at certain point.
Great capture here with relatively sad winter weather, which you however turned to your advantage.
The colorful jackets add a nice touch and I like the decoration set against the sky which frames the scene from above.

Een imposante statistiek van je TE-activiteiten. Honderd punten voor een foto is tegenwoordig niet meer mogelijk, maar gelukkig is er een vaste club die zich door niemand van de wijs laat brengen en stug doorgaat met deze wereldwijde foto familie.

A magnificent image of this beautiful street adorned with Christmas symbols, without a doubt this and the many people on the street, conveys an atmosphere of celebration and joy.

I don't know if I'm going to continue uploading photos to TE, I don't know if you got to see my penultimate photo of a pair of kittens.
They erased me, some street cats, who lived in the ruins of the castle.
So I will think during these Holidays, if I return, if I did it would be for the contact with all of you .... We will see .....

Seems as everybody was walking towards the same direction, John, only one old lady on right side was on the opposite way...
