Hello John,
The cottage is very pretty and is beautifully surrounded by the lawn and garden. The light falls very nicely on the façade and you have captured this with very good colours. It is hard to believe now the terrible destruction caused to this area and we can only hope that it will never ever happen again, even though people don't seem to learn from history and tend to repeat their mistakes.

Pleasant rural scene and amazing lushness of soothing green combined with wonderful dapple of warm light, shadow and shade. The brightly lit farm house keeps my eye focused - thus the impact with lovely feel of depth. Simple but an appealing subject worked well photographically even without human presence! I can imagine poor civilians in the farms caught between two powerful armies. very sad memories.
