Saint Medardus Church in Usel between Bruges and Ghent

Classified
In March 2013, the church was fully classified as a monument by the Flemish Community. The decision was formulated as follows: "The artistic value of the church building lies mainly in the still partly 17th- and 18th-century furniture with a richly sculpted Baroque pulpit from 1667, 18th-century portico altars, choir panel and benches and three confessionals, one of which is dated. dating from 1726. The 18th-century organ by Pieter van Peteghem with its stylish organ case is of great art value. This original balustrade organ is a rare example of an organ from the early days of the ancestor of the internationally renowned organ-making dynasty.

Lep enterijer i detalji, dobro poakzano sa lepim bojama, kontrastom i perspektivom.
Lepa unutrasnjost stare Crkve.

Hallo John,
Heel goed lichtmanagement voor dit kerkinterieur waar donkere, licht en sterk gekleurde delen elkaar afwisselen.
De kleuren van de glasramen boven het altaar komen zeer goed tot uiting.
De foto toont een mooi contrast tussen de ruwe donkere stenen van de zuilen en de prachtige versieringen vooraan en de mooie bogen in het plafond.
Gepresenteerd met een uitstekende scherpte en helderheid.

Hello John,

You have captured the rich colours and details of this church interior with a fine symmetry and clarity.
The lectern is the only feature which spoils the symmetry, yet it is a lovely, highly polished feature and strongly positioned compositionally.

Your new Canon 30mp renders acute pictures and penetrating natural colors.
In this particular case I appreciate so much the real native depiction of all densities.
From the darkest greyish columns to the backlit stained glass, every item looks substantially normal, which is uncommon nowadays!
Many compliments for this piece of art!

The stained glass windows in the bg are magnificent. Good colour, sharpness and lighting inside this impressive cathedral. The brass eagle on a stand at left adds interest. Tfs!

Hello John,
I see that all churches are quite look the same in this part of the country.
The interior and the ceiling are very 'Gothic' in appearance with the rich golden decorations.
As always I just adored the Stained-glass window frames. They bring the whole 'Angelic' scene to the church.
