The carpet of flowers on the Brussels market has attracted more than 100,000 visitors in four days.
Interested parties had up to 23 hours to view the 650,000 begonias from the balcony of the town hall.
The organization responds with satisfaction to the number of visitors. On the “Grote Markt,” the carpet is free to view since Thursday. (2010) A panoramic view from the balcony of the town hall costs three euros. "It is too early to say how many visitors viewed the flowers from the balcony. According to our counts in combination with the data from the police, over the past four days more than 100,000 visitors (2010) were on the Market ",

Interesantan i lep pogled, dobar tekst ...
Lepo pokazano, dobra perspektiva i kontrast, lepe boje, lepo uhvacen trenutak sa posetiocima.
Lepo cvece i arhitektura.
Dobar tekst o koriscenoj tehnici i elementima snimka.
Zelim vam lepu i mirnu noc, sve najbolje.

Hello John.
This was a carpet nobody was allowed to step on. Maybe it wasn't as soft as it looks. It was a magnificent way to decorate a large square and you captured it well with very good colours and a nice inclusion of many beautiful buildings.

Hello John, what a fantastic display.
It must take lots of people hours and hours to prepare.
Taken from a very good point of view, you were close enough for us to see the flowers, then be able to appreciate the overall design.
The splendid buildings make an excellent b/g.
And we can see all the people admiring this spectacle.

Hello John,
This is a great view of the famous flower carpet. The colors are bright, and the small umbrellas on the edges of the square also add bursts of color. The architecture is very impressive, too. Each building is more beautiful than the last. With this composition, it feels like the flower carpet is laid out right in front of us, and we can almost reach out and touch it.

Hello John, How often one can see such a flowers carpet in the Big Square in Brussels? Or maybe it was the attraction only in 2010? I can imagine that a lot of people wanted to see it. Fabulous composition. Awesome view.

A spectacular sight with the flowers just about filling Brussels' great old square. It must get extremely crowded to fit that many peopl around the edges.

Hello John,

You must be rightly proud of this beautiful, colourful carpet of flowers in the centre of Brussels. It makes a dazzling display. Certainly an elevated view will give the pattern, too.
Your photograph clearly reveals the extent of the 'flower carpet' and the number of people surrounding its borders.
The tall buildings make a good backstop, keeping the attention inside the square.

I wonder who designs the carpet and decides on the number of flowers needed to complete the design.

Ik dacht al dit ik dit jaar het bloementapijt gemist had ... maar het is nog niet half augustus (en ik ben ook niet zeker of 2018 een jaar is met bloementapijt).
Prachtig met het grote plein vol gekleurde bloemen en daarbij de geweldige architectuur die de Grote Markt omgeeft.
Uitstekend scherp en helder.

This picture doesn't need much words. It is simpply beautiful and most impressive. You could choose an advantageous angle for showing this flower carpet. One of my sons living in Brussels often told me about this event. Really amazing!

Hallo John, congratulations for this postcard. Brussels town hall forms a splendid background. The gardeners have created drawings in the flower carpet around the fountain. It produces a beautiful visual result. Fine colors, good sharpness, regards.
