Che in Havana #3, a photo from La Habana, West

Photographer's Note

Here is another capture from the fascinating streets of Havana`s old town. This street was quite close to where we stayed, and I immediately understood that I had to capture this scene. We passed the wall several times, and one day Che was left alone, only with the kids playing in the streets. Again Che Guevara plays kind of a lead role, at least on this mural.

Det дr ett vдldigt bra foto men en ganska konstig bild av Che. Jag undrar om nеgon amatцr har tagit pе sig att "restaurera" den nedre delen av portrдttet som tycks ha flagnat bort. Ansiktshalvorna passar inte riktigt ihop. Vдldigt underligt, men intressant och lite lustigt. De smе pojkarna дr fцrstеs vдldigt viktiga fцr ditt foto, men ocksе den цverlag slitna vдggen, liksom gallergrinden och det perfekta ljuset. Hela atmosfдren дr fascinerande, sе det дr mеnga samverkande faktorer bakom det fina resultatet.

Hello Erving, even though the wall painting of Che has lost some of its detail, it is still recognisable.
The two boys having their conversation, oblivious to everything and anything around them.
An excellent observation.

Et godt gadebillede med et interessant hus med en del af portrжttet med Che, nogle flotte mшnstre i dшrhegnet og smukke strukturer pе den gamle vжg. Sollyset der kom fra hшjre side giver nogle fine varme toner til billedet. De to unge drenge er ogsе godt kommet med.

Erling, Ernesto Guevara is a star in Cuba. He is admired by the population. The two little boys on the left animate the scene. The mural is partly damaged because the wall is in bad condition. Fine colors, good sharpness, regards.

That's the living aged wall! An image in its simplicity but full of little beauty and charm. The boys and Che' are superbly fitted into the frame with stunning orange colour has an immense impact as a whole package. Well observed and taken efficiently, Congrats

Good to see the mural is going the way time.....away. Cuba has always been a wonder to me. I live on the next piece of land here in Florida. Many of my Cuban friends wait for change. Maybe one day I will entertain a visit. Nice capture of the culture. TFS

man, you're really making me want to post some shots from here as well, these are truely great scenes. I walked around everywhere in this city for 5 days, I don't recall this wall, I would have photographed it too. great to have the kids there, looks like the kid in red has new shoes. love the wall and the eyes on the right. nice one. cheers

Hello Erling,
Nice collection of Che Guevaras that you are sharing with us. :-) This is a curious mural. The top and bottom parts are very different. I don't know if that's from decay, or the way the artist planned it. I like the inclusion of the grille on the door, and the two children on the corner. Take care!
