The little island..GIANT Dragon flies, a photo from Ho Chi Minh, South East

Photographer's Note

This was shot whilst driving around the little island, and I saw another one and I ordered the Taxi Driver to stop the Taxi and I got a shot of this other island, it was beautiful, small but full of interesting things on it and surrounding it are these giant dragon flies or they wanted to be in my shot for stardom?

Well I hope you like this, it was quite an unusual find

Indeed giant dragonflies. They almost looks like helicopters. Did you also succeed in making a close up of them?

Very nice picture of that little island. I like the plants in front too, they create a good and well balanced composition. The dragon flies look giant indeed! Good work. :-)

I agree with alvaraalto, so big almost looks like helicopters, but I like the island in middle but a very dangerous near storm. You did ver nice job here!

Hi Dan. Nice view with the bushes framing the island and the ship going by, but the unusual and interesting detail sure are the buzzing dragonflies all over the foreground; I think I count at least a dozen of them.

Hi Dan. Yes the dragonflies surely knew you were a world famous photographer and would do anything to get in the shot! To me the shot is on the dark side and I'd maybe brighten it up a hair. Still the beauty comes shining through. Nice catch Dan.

Hi Dan - are those birds? haha, really interesting, great composition. I remember taking a sunset shot near Ha Tien, there were so many of these things, they came out like clouds.

I like the 3 main elements of green in this superb pov overlooking the South China Sea. Perhaps I'd add some cyan & increase sharpness slightly? Good work overall. Congratulations!

Hi Dan, lovely view of this place. I couldn't imagine living in such a small island. There are really a lot of dragon flies seeking stardom. I like the branches and the boat framing the island.
