Photographer's Note

This girl follow us for twenty minuts, always looking with this sad eyes. I was the only occidentals in the beach. Her relatives were selling and buying fish, and she seems to turn one's back to the fisher hard life.

Those round boats are used for transporting the fishermen to the big boats you can see in background.

I think the contrast and darkness can be adjusted to "return" the quality to this photo. Obviously, your composition is a lesson for me to learn.

Hi Sergio,
Very nice portrait. I like the posture and expression on the girls face. The girls is not looking directly at the camere, and that is the reason why it is such nice photo. DOF should be shorter for this type of photographs, as background is somewhat distracting.

Such a little face...my...so sad looking but looking at you as if she's reaching out to you, too. Just a great portrait shot of this little girl and her surroundings. Very well done.

Interesting composition! I like the way you add distant activity in addition to the main subject, as it gives an impression of her setting... good colours and details, maybe a tad more contrast? Good note enhances my experience of your presentation!

This is a smashing image, love the little girls expression. Don't particularly like fill flash but it works in this case. Well captured.

Its an awesome portrait Sergio. You managed to preserve the emotions in time very well. Except the flash light on her eyes, this picture is a great portrait.

Beautifully composed and exposed. Anyone could write a story around this picture but your note tells its own tale.
