Photographer's Note

Each country is uniquely different, and it is a tough call comparing one with the other. But in terms of awe-inspiring history and phenomenal architecture, only one nation stands out imho Uzbekistan. Bukhara, Unesco WHS, is historically one of the great trading cities along the Silk Road for more than 1,000 years old. It is the most complete example of a medieval city in Central Asia with an urban fabric that has remained largely intact. Monuments of particular interest include the Kalyan Ensemble, a masterpiece of 10th-century Islamic architecture.
