The Thale Noi wetland is not only home to countless water birds and water buffaloes but also to an army of insect among them the dragonfly certainly is one of the most interesting. Of course there is another insect which has even the bigger army around the shore of the lake, in particular after sunset at the eateries next to the lake, the mosquitoes. The one here are big and their sting is very painful

Hi Urs,

Really like your use of a muted BG - adds great clarity to the insect. This is a photo for study, to see the lines and details of this specific type of dragonfly/mosquito. The shadow effect is interesting. Your note seems to indicate this is a mosquito - sting? Nice "catch" all the same - and thanks so much for your kind comments on my work [email protected]!

Hello Urs,

I know, I am very difficult, but also for me self, I want always it best of a picture.
A dragonfly takes you best on the head this give more effect on the picture, notwithstanding is these picture pleasant to look at
Sharpness and clarity be superb.
Excellent composition, nice presentation.
