Lunch time for Storks, a photo from Phattalung, South

Photographer's Note

Three stork species - all of them protected - have one of their major habitats in the Thale Noi wetland. In this photograph it is lunch time for the Lesser Adjutant Storks. It is a continuous going and coming, some prefer to fly high up above, while others are to hungry for flying.

Hello Urs,
nice the view of all these birds as feeding and drinking from the Thale Noi wetland.I like all this gathering with the storks to dominating the place.

nice series from nature. Fine view. Storks lived in my country in the summer every year. In autumn they fly away to Africa. Good POV you had. Photo I like.

The point of view puts the scene in context. I like the inclusion of the cattle in the background and the play of light across the muddy rippling waters. Fine technical presentation.

Nice colours and an interesting rural scene. Storks are beautiful birds that always impress me the few times I have seen any in real life. The one closest to the camera shows itself very nicely when spreading its wings.

And bon appetit I d'say here. A great colony of storks here indeed.
Our local storks are already preparing for leaving us for their winter quarters in Africa and one can see whole flocks of them on the fields around town at the moment.
