Eastern Great Egret meeting, a photo from Phattalung, South

Photographer's Note

Even from elevated road between Thale Noi and Ranot the water birds most of the time are fare away like these great eastern egrets meeting in some distance from the road at this creek with one water puddle after the other. There also is their food. At least there are parking areas on the elevated road from where you can follow as long as you please the noise water bird meetings.

Hi Urs,
I like the titlt!!
They must be looking for small teds, frogs.
They have among themselves, finders and informers too, who alarm the pack whenever there is some danger.

Hello Urs,
I like the way the watercourse covered with egrets zig-zags its way up the frame. The pale plumage of the birds lifts them from the darker background, creating a 3-D effect. Lovely light and reflections across the water in the foreground.

I like very much your nature and especially bird-life shots from Thailand. Here, you had the egrets en masse, but not much more, yet you've composed it very well to make the most of the bends in the creek, and the reflections. The touches of green on the right add a highlight and soften the almost two-tone effect. Nicely done.

A pleasant view of these birds. I am pleased you share with us, not the touristic renditions of temples and rivers, but more places that are rustic and natural.

In addition the overall composition of the flow of white is very nice, pleasing to the eye. TFS

Nice close up of the Egrets. I like the fact that they are lined up along the curvature of the puddle/stream. That is a cute effect well seen and well presented.
