Photographer's Note
This statue of Buddha is located at the Grand Palace in Bangkok. The Grand Palace is a complex of buildings, including the royal residence, government offices and temples. The photo captures only a fragment of what is truly an amazing work of art.

Hi Izabela
Thank you for the review of my photo. I can see that we have a similar eye. I love this shot with the converging lines and the repeating patterns. The statue makes the photo because it stands out from the building. The curves vs. straight lines makes me think of man vs. building. The details in the colours are terrific as well.
Your photo makes me want to go to Bangkok to see it first hand!
Many thanks,
D

Hello Izabela,
I like the way you have captured this detail of the Grand Palace, providing a sense of grandeur and elevation.
But considering the depth of field you had to cover from foreground to the top of the colonnades, you could have used a smaller aperture than f/2.8 in order to obtain a wider range of sharpness to showcase all the ornamental details, unless you wanted to focus on Buddha statue.
Low angle and symmetrical composition work well together for this original presentation.
Cheers!

Hello Izabela,
Another charming image taken in a peculiar angle exposing many architectural details. I like the peaceful Buddha in a lotus position. The vertical shot works very well here giving a lot of depth to the image. A niece capture with superb colors and sharpness.
