Photographer's Note
This scene reminded me the Adventures of Mowgli of Rudyard Kipling. I think everyone knows the famous "The Jungle Book".
I took this photo on the road, somewhere between Negombo and Anuradhapura.

Hello Serghei,
If your intent was to create some added curiosity with this particular composition, due to the placement of the monkey within the frame...you did it perfectly! The leaning column in the background appears as if it's strapped on the monkeys back, kind of like a rocket launcher...with a bird perched atop. :) And is that a cable of some sort flowing over the edge where the monkey is sitting, or is that its tail?? Whatever the case, there's a good flow of element and subject from that bottom corner up through the top of the column.
Although you may not have captured him looking your direction, I very much like the candid nature of this photo...very natural and unassuming. Maybe he spies a female monkey nearby....you know, it's just inherently desirable to take a look. :)) Fun for everyone, great shot my friend. Hope you're staying warm and ready to welcome the world to your country this week. Take care amigo.
All the best,
Jason

Hello Serghei,
I agree with Jason-it´s even better the monkey do not look into your camera. So,its pose bring some curiosity to the scene and makes it more intriguing to us.
I like also the juxtaposition itself-monkey against old temple ruins-original and eye-catching!
And finally your framing, which appeals to me very much.
Successful composition!
Have a nice day

Dear Serghei,
I love this shot, a portrait of the monkey against the leaning columns in the background. It is a simple but very effective composition.
I wrote you to thank you for the package your daughter sent from New York. Then I found out that my internet account had been compromised. Messages I send, and most of messages I receive either disappear completely, or they are sent to my trash folder. Carol Jean and I were in the South Pacific between Jan. 7-22, without any internet service, but that a message was sent from my account to all my contacts on Jan. 15. It endorsed a "Wealth Management" program. I know the "A-subjects," no "B-subjects," and nothing whatsoever of the "W-subjects." My new email is "[email protected]"
Warmest regards,

hi Serghei
Ah Mowgli, I haven't thought of that name in a long time :) This is a very impressive composition, the monkey by himself would be an excellent shot, but to have this unusual background of the columns at these weird jaunty angles is just brilliant! I get the impression that this place belongs to the monkeys now, and any people intruding may be swiftly convinced to leave!
Nicely done, a very cool image.
Cheers

Hello Serghei,
a fine, exotic and amusing picture from your travels in Sri Lanka. It's interesting to see these ruins claimed by the monkey and the bird. You captured a delightful moment with them turning to different directions. The tight framing as well as the moody light and colours render the image and its atmosphere quite mysterious. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a good night,
Ourania
