Hello Dan,

I go in Singapore time to time for the job. I had a look to the first 20min of the race to recognize some places.

Yes, I like the shot for its framing quite original with the vertical composition and for the dark background which is putting the focus on the yellow colors of the car. Moreover it is sharp and we can see the eye of the driver.

I was told only 300mm lens allowed, so everybody using 200mm plus 2X.

Well you have the Renault spot on in this frame, and very lively color, focus and just a little sense of motion blur as if the fast speed moving toward me. I like the vertical format, which makes framing the car even more difficult.

Interesting - who would have predicted Alonso? tfs

Seems the night race helped provide some pretty good lighting and shadows, which is the main reason why I'm commenting here as its unique compared to the other F1 shots I see.

That gradient from the top is excellent, and looks more like a studio shot rather than a race in progress.

Im hoping to attend the next Melbourne Grand Prix, not really huge on F1 but will be worth checking out I'm sure.
