Photographer's Note
About 20 km from ancient beautiful city Zaraysk is staying this small church of Intercession. It was built in 1899 in village Zimenki. Many of people prayed there on Sundays during a some time until it is closed in the middle of XX century. Later, in 70th, the village was abandoned at all and replaced with the the empty field. Now the nearest settled place as far as 5 km and the wild animals and birds only are being there. Hope you enjoy that. Have a nice weekend and regards.

Church in ruins are rarely seen on TE; the way these ruins are lighted is great. Indeed, very unusual, seeing a church standing alone in a field with wild birds and animals. (Jean-Pierre)

The subdued but rich color of the church building, the vegetation around , compostion and light exposure make this great. Also appreciate the photographer's note.

Zdravstvuj Tatiana,
I love ruins and their history, and this is probably the first Russian ruin I've ever seen. Thank you for showing us such less known places of your country. The photo is perfect -- good colours, sharpness and overall clarity. Well done.
Thanks,
Marek

Sharp picture, excellent colours and interesting content. I made last week photo from old country house ruin which look similar on first sigh, but of course Australian history is too short, to have something like you have taken.

Hi Tatiana. I liked this. It is a simple composition with concern about getting the detail and visual values of the church. You should get a little bit closer, to get around 60% of the subject or the church in your frame.
