Photographer's Note

Well, so now we can see that at least 10 wars are going on right now. Russia is involved in 2 wars right now. USA is involved in 5 wars. Germany is taking part in at least 1 war. And so on and so on. So nothing changed from that time in the beginning of the XIX century, when this Russian Navy artillery gun was made. People are killing each other with great zeal.

I can't say that I am so much of a pacifist - no, I am not. Its just that I remember all that photos of young women and children with flowers near guns and tanks all along these years in XX century. All the time they don't think about the war - they don't know it, or want to forget.
So...
So what is the message?
Well, the message is like that - less wars, more peace - may be better for all those young girls and small children. Maybe big guys will some day decide that its more profitable to be in peace.
Maybe.
But man have to defend its grounds, if war come, is he? Its a man's job.
Oh well. Was not pretty clear here.

Hi Uhu,i agree with you about what you wrote in the note,nothing is changed in the last 100 years and a pic like that is not the first...but i hope it will be the last....a very useful post talking about this endless big problem,i like your choice.Have a nice Sunday and thanks,Luciano

a nice contrast photo, a young, pretty child in such an old cannon, very well photographed!
(at the moment there is enough war in our world)

Так и у тебя телки ) да еще Guns'N'Roses. Хорошо все посчитал ) Как было сказано с трибуны, нет лучших учений для наших ВВС чем Сирия. И для бюджета ненакладно. Я не спорю. Только вот попадают часто по таким же девчушкам, а не по моджахедам с длинными блестящими ножами.
